We took Hannah took the park yesterday and were surprised to find 3 birthday parties there. But what was more surprising was what was going on at these parties. The first party looked like a small carnival. They had food carts with churros, cookies, cotton candy, popcorn, caramel apples, and chocolate fountains. There was a giant balloon archway, tons of food and gift bags, and they even had a cowboy! The second party had Elmo. Someone had come in costume and the kids were going nuts. Hannah saw him and started running across the grassy field. It was the cutest thing ever to see her swinging her arms and running across that grass with a big smile on her face. The third party had The Cat In the Hat- which is not as exciting, but still fun for the kids.
It made me think of Hannah's 1st birthday party:
Although we didn't have any characters or cotton candy at her party, it was still fun to get together with friends and have a barbeque. I guess now that she's turning 2 soon I'll have to hire a party coordinator to book The Backyardigans and arrange for a ride in The Goodyear Blimp!
